— In some areas, you can see how lighter strokes are superimposed on dark ones, but do not completely cover them. This creates a feeling of translucency - as if we are looking through rain or glass.
Horizontal and diagonal "smears" with a palette knife
— Especially in red and black areas, it is noticeable that the paint is as if "stretched" across the canvas, creating a visual movement in one direction. This resembles a long exposure in photography, when a moving object leaves a trace.
Contrasting flash of color
— Bright red, "smeared" in the direction of the car's movement, enhances the association with a moving object, which is captured in the photo at the moment of passing.
Different sharpness of zones
— Some parts of Lagidze's painting (for example, individual white strokes on the hood of a car) are painted a little more clearly than everything else. This creates a focal point, while the surrounding space seems blurred.
As a result, the viewer perceives the scene as a fleeting shot from the life of a big city — with rain, movement and slight chaos.
